MOST of a motorway was shut, with queues of five miles after a crash this morning.
The collision happened on the westbound carriageway of the M62, between junction 24 (Ainley Top) and junction 23 (Outlane Interchange), near Huddersfield.
West Yorkshire Police was called to the crash at 7.12am.
It involved three vehicles.
Officers rushed to the scene, but no injuries were reported, according to a spokesperson for the force.
Lanes two and three (of three) were closed for almost an hour, from 7.48am until 8.32am.
This caused traffic to build on the motorway.
At its peak, queues were stretching five miles back to junction 25 (Brighouse).
The congestion was adding an extra 50 minutes onto normal journey times.
