Settle ranked the best place for a UK holiday, beating the Cotswolds and Isle of Sky for staycation hotspots.

The historic, countryside town was selected by property experts at Homedit.com - which analysed the number of Airbnbs, the average person capacity, the number of reviews, weighted average rating, and the Bayesian average rating. 

For those keen to visit different areas of the UK, Airbnbs are a popular option when booking accommodation. 

You can find anything from a modern studio apartment to quirky homes full of unique design features via Airbnb.

Settle was given an index score of 9.7 out of 10, taking into account all the variables measured. Settle has a total of 416 Airbnbs and an average person capacity of 3.70.

The Cotswolds came in second place with an index score of 9.4. Known for its picturesque scenery, it has 393 Airbnbs and an average person capacity of 3.71.

The Isle of Skye was handed a score of 9.2 out of 10, with 351 Airbnbs, an average person capacity of 3.68 and 33,179 reviews in total.
