A man was taken to hospital after falling from an overhead bridge on Bingley Bypass last night, according to police.
The bypass was closed in both directions last night at around 9pm, due to Police being called in regards to the safety of a male.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Police were called at about 20.49 on Tuesday night regarding the safety of a man seen in the carriageway of the A650 Aire Valley Road in Bingley.
"Emergency services attended and located the male who, it is believed, had fallen from an overhead bridge.
"He was taken to hospital for treatment for serious but not life-threatening injuries."
The bypass, also known as Sir Fred Hoyle Way, was closed in both directions at a point near the town's railway station, onlookers said.
Park Road, which crosses the bypass and the nearby Leeds-Liverpool Canal, was also closed off by police. Images emerged appearing to show a police car parked underneath the bridge.
