A BRADFORD man has been jailed for a string of charges including assault by beating and stealing aftershave at a city shopping centre.

Dean Watson, 40, of Great Horton Road, has been jailed for a total of 42 weeks.

His offences included being committed to prison for 12 weeks for assault by beating at Kirkgate Shopping Centre, Bradford, on September 26, 2021.

He was also jailed for 12 weeks, to run concurrently, for a further charge of assault by beating at Kirkgate Shopping Centre, Bradford, on September 26, 2021.

Watson was committed to prison for six weeks, to run concurrently, for a charge of criminal damage to property valued under £5,000. This charge was due to damage to clothing, to a value unknown, at Kirkgate Shopping Centre, Bradford, on September 26, 2021.

He was also jailed for six weeks, to run concurrently, for stealing aftershave, worth £70, from the Fragrance Shop, Kirkgate Shopping Centre, on September 26, 2021.

His offences were deemed so serious due to a lengthy record of similar offences and committed while on a suspended sentence order, bail and against public servants undertaking duties.

Watson was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates' Court on January 5, 2022.
