KEBAB fans in Bradford are being urged to get voting as time runs out to nominate their favourite takeaway in the British Kebab Awards.

The deadline for nominations in the 10th annual awards is looming, with kebab lovers only having until January 21 to cast their vote.

There are a range of categories to put forward your favourite kebab-house, and Bradford has plenty of great eateries to choose from.

Categories include Best Delivery, Customer Satisfaction, Best Value Restaurant, Fine Dining Restaurant, Best Restaurant, Best Takeaway, Kebab Van of the Year, Best Newcomer, Best Supplier, Chef of the Year, Best Lebanese Restaurant and Best Greek Restaurant.

It is the tenth year the popular awards have run, recognising a food which has become a staple of British high streets, an industry worth £2.8 billion, and beloved by people from all backgrounds, with 1.5 million kebabs sold on average every day.

The judging panel for the 2022 Awards include MP Rosena Allin-Khan and Education Secretary Nadhim Zahawi, actor and presenter Adil Ray, and radio host and author James O'Brien.

Ibrahim Dogus, founder of the British Kebab Awards, said: “Covid has had a huge impact amongst businesses across the country, yet many kebab businesses have tried hard to continue to provide a good service to their communities.

"The kebab industry, despite all the difficulties and challenges it faces, has continued to grow from strength to strength.

"The 10th British Kebab Awards will be even bigger and better than the last one.”

Voting is open for the 2022 British Kebab Awards until January 21. The shortlist will then be unveiled on January 25. The date for this years awards is yet to be announced.
