LATEST NEWS: Building work on first Greggs Drive-Thru in Bradford begins - here's when it will open

The first-ever Greggs drive-thru opened in Yorkshire yesterday and is a taste for what’s to come in Bradford next year.

The new shop in Sheffield is the 11th drive-thru bakery in the country, and the latest to open in the UK.

Bradford will be getting its very own drive-thru Greggs next year, as plans were approved in October to demolish the Cross Keys pub on Rooley Lane and replace it with the popular bakery.

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

Work is expected to start in the new year.

Roisin Currie, Retail and Property Director for Greggs, said: “Our new drive-thru in Sheffield has brought 25 new jobs to the local area, as well as providing customers with a modern, convenient new place to experience their favourite Greggs food.”

At the new branch on Meadowhall Retail Park in Sheffield, customers will be able to take advantage of Greggs’ deals throughout the day, including its famed breakfast combinations offering a breakfast roll or baguette alongside an orange juice or hot drink - served until 11 am every day.

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

Delicious freshly-made sandwiches, savouries, and sweet treats will also be available for those looking to grab a bite on the go.

And Greggs’ velvety smooth flat white and warming peppermint tea are among the hot drinks on offer at the new shop, all of which are 100% Fairtrade.
