WEST Yorkshire Police's Roads Policing Unit have revealed how many drivers were arrested over the weekend as part of their Drink Drug Drive campaign in December.
From Friday to Sunday, a total of 40 drivers were arrested; 28 for drink driving, nine for drug driving and three for failing to provide a sample.
It means in total, 138 people have been arrested this month thanks to the campaign.
WYP Roads Policing Unit (@WYP_RPU) tweeted: "Over the weekend (Friday to Sunday) a total of 40 drivers have been arrested as part of our December campaign.
"28 for drink driving, nine for drug driving and three for failing to provide a sample.
"This brings the December total to 138 (over 11 arrests each day) #WYPTheCost"
