A NUMBER of people have been hit with fines at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court for breaching Covid-19 rules.

The cases have only came to court in the last six weeks, but date back to February this year.

  • Andrius Varnelis, 39, of Brookfield Road, Bradford, was fined £440, ordered to pay £90 costs and a £44 victim surcharge for being a person living in tier 4 area, leave/were outside of place where living, without reasonable excuse, on February 14, 2021.
  • Denisa Ridajova, 37, of Cragg Lane, Great Horton, Bradford, was fined £200, ordered to pay £85 costs and a £34 victim surcharge for participating in an indoor gathering of two or more persons in the step 1 area, on April 5, 2021.
  • Frantisek Kancie, 35, of Cragg Terrace, Bradford, was fined £1,100, ordered to pay £110 victim surcharge and £85 costs for participating in indoor gathering of two or more persons in the step 1 area, on April 5, 2021.
  • Jana Bila, 38, of Horton Grange Road, Bradford, was fined £1,760, ordered to pay £176 victim surcharge and £85 costs for participating in indoor gathering of two or more persons in the step 2 area, on May 2, 2021.
  • Vera Kicova, 40, of Harlow Road, Bradford, was fined £1,100, ordered to pay a £110 victim surcharge and £85 costs for participating in an indoor gathering of two or more persons in the step 2 area, on May 2, 2021.
  • Peter Sugar, 39, of Harlow Road, Bradford, was fined £1,100, ordered to pay £110 victim surcharges and £85 costs for participating in an indoor gathering of two or more persons in the step 2 area, on May 2, 2021.
  • Martin Dryden, 38, of Kenton Way, Bradford, was fined £1,100, ordered to pay a £110 victim surcharge and £85 costs for participating in an indoor gathering of two or more persons in the step 2 area, on May 1, 2021.
  • Robert Weir, 39, of Chapel Lane, Oakworth, Keighley, was fined £1,100, ordered to pay a £110 victim surcharge and £85 costs for participating in a gathering of two or more people in private dwelling / indoors in tier 4 area, on March 12, 2021.
