A MAN whose rottweiler was so out of control it injured a woman at a farm in Keighley has been handed a conditional discharge and a £200 fine.
Barry Green, 70, of Goff Well Farm, in Goff Well Lane, Keighley, pleaded guilty to the offence of owning a dog dangerously out of control causing injury.
The incident occurred on August 28 at Goff Well Farm when a woman was bitten.
At Bradford and Keighley Magistrates' Court on November 23, Green was given a 12 month conditional discharge, told to pay £100 in compensation, and pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £22.
He was also told that unless the rottweiler is kept under proper control by being kept in an enclosed area, and restrained when gates are opened so it's unable to escape the farmland, then it must be destroyed.
