SHIPLEY is set to switch on its Christmas lights this Saturday.
Organised by Shipley Town Council, local traders and the Kirkgate Community Centre, the fun begins at 11am and runs across the town centre until the lights are switched on at 4.30pm.
There will be a full programme of street entertainment and music plus special offers from retailers and activities for children, plus Santa in his Grotto in the Kirkgate Centre.
The day culminates with a lantern parade and an appearance of Cecil Green Arts’ giant illuminated Bradford Boar.
"Everyone’s welcome to what promises to be a great day in Shipley, and a great opportunity to do some Christmas shopping at our shops and markets," said Mike Connors, chair of Shipley Town Council.
