A HEADTEACHER in Ilkley has thanked the school's Parent Teacher Association for providing them with over £12,000.

The PTA at All Saints School presented Mrs Robinson and pupils at the school with a £12,055 cheque this month.

Mrs Robinson said “This huge cheque presented by All Saints’ wonderful PTA will enable school to redevelop the wooded area for forest schools activities.

"We can also create a fun play zone accessible all year round and erect a much needed bike/scooter stand to encourage more children to choose a healthy way of getting to school.

"This has been a monumental fundraising campaign and all the children are going to benefit from the projects.”

PTA Chair and parent Lottie Haigh added: “We are so thankful to our wonderful school community for coming together to help raise the money needed to help with this project.

"It has been difficult to fundraise over the past year when all our usual social events could not take place.

"We look forward to our children being able to use this new area.

"The PTA would like to thank all local businesses and organisations that have helped achieve this through donations, without you this wouldn’t have been achievable."
