POLICE have confirmed a male was arrested in Bradford city centre yesterday.

At around 3pm, officers attended Duke Street after they were informed a group of males were allegedly in possession of drugs.

A number of males were detained and searched under the misuse of drugs act.

One male was arrested for a public order offence and another was given a youth community resolution for possession of a class B drug.

There was previous confusion as police were unable to track down the incident after pictures emerged of three males being cuffed by four officers outside the Bradford Eastbrook Court Jobcentre on Vicar Lane.

When the Telegraph & Argus approached police for a comment on Tuesday they could not find any incidents that occurred on Vicar Lane or even the nearby Great Cross Street.

On Wednesday, a West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Police were informed of a group of males, alleged to be in possession of drugs.

"Officers attended Duke Street and identified a number of males who were subsequently detained and searched under the misuse of drugs act.

"A male was arrested for a public order offence and another male was given a youth community resolution for possession of a class B drug."
