AN INDEPENDENT Christmas Market is set to take place in Bradford city centre this weekend.
Local independent businesses will gather on John Street to sell their goods, which have been specifically selected with 'Christmas gifts in mind."
Plant One on Me, independent coffee shop owner, Ursula Sutcliffe has organised the event.
She said: "We wanted to create a small intimate Christmas market that is made up of Bradford artists and that's affordable, and we've put it altogether with the intention for people to get their Christmas presents." All the stall owners are makers and artists from Bradford, including pottery makers, digital artists and vintage bakers.
She added: "It's been done to encourage people to come up to the top of town and use the local Oastler Market, promote the independent scene which doesn't really have a face in the city centre, and just get people into the Christmas spirit. There will be things like home made candles, ceramics, vintage homebaked goods like Christmas cakes and things like that."
Bradford Methodist will also be attending the event to sing Christmas carols along with mince pies and mulled wine.
The event will take place on Saturday, December 4 from 10am, on John Street, Bradford.
