SHOPPERS were out in stores across Bradford this morning for Black Friday but according to reports it was not as busy as expected.

Customers were seen going into shops like Currys in Forster Square Retail Park at 8am and Smyth's for toys at 9am but there were few queues outside shops.

Many shoppers seemed to be going about their business and it did not appear that there was a clamour for big sales like there had been in past years at some shops.

Footfall was steady in the city centre and shoppers outside The Broadway came away carrying bags, but one shopper inside told the T&A around midday: "It's not really busy. I thought it would be busier."
