A BRADFORD woman has been prosecuted for stealing a number of bottles of alcohol from a district supermarket.
Laura Smith, 37, of Fearnville Drive, was charged with stealing six bottles of Jack Daniels whiskey, worth a total of £108, from Morrisons, Enterprise Way, Bradford, on August 20, 2021.
She was given a 12-month conditional discharge, ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £22 victim surcharge for the offence.
The case against Smith was proved in absence at a hearing held at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, November 3, 2021.
At the hearing, a collection order was made. Court to apply for deductions from benefit. Reserve terms: Pay outstanding balance within 14 days.
An application was also made for benefit deductions, with £107 to be recovered.
