A MALE was arrested in Keighley for possession of an offensive weapon on Thursday night.

West Yorkshire Police intervened following a number of concern calls.

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue also helped with the arrest.

On the police side, Neighbourhood policing teams, Ops Support and Operation Jemlock cooperated to ensure the man was detained.

West Yorkshire Police - Keighley (@WYP_Keighley), which covers Craven, Ilkley, Keighley Central, Keighley East, Keighley West and Worth Valley, tweeted at 11.01pm: "Male detained in town tonight for possession of an offensive weapon following a number of concern calls.
