TALKTalk is ramping up its full fibre expansion programme, bringing 1Gb full fibre packages to homes across Bradford for the first time.

The need for ultrafast, ultra-reliable and affordable connectivity has never been greater as internet usage on TalkTalk’s network soared 40 per cent over the pandemic.

And with Black Friday and Cyber Monday discounts on smart tech just around the corner, consumers are likely to snap up deals on products and will need the internet connectivity required to support their new smart devices.

Many people living in Bradford can now connect to TalkTalk’s NEW Future Fibre 1Gb package which uses the UK's latest fibre technology to bring 100 full fibre directly into the home, delivering average download speeds of 900Mb/s. That’s up to 24 times faster and up to five times more reliable than standard fibre.

The Future Fibre 1Gb package includes two Amazon eero Pro 6 mesh Wi-Fi devices.

It also comes with Total Home Wi-Fi included as standard - a TalkTalk package enabling Future Fibre customers to extend their Wi-Fi coverage by adding additional Amazon eero devices.

Eero Pro 6 works together with Future Fibre plans and uses Wi-Fi 6 technology to support superior speeds, boost efficiency, and tackle Wi-Fi blank spots - with enough bandwidth to easily handle up to 75 devices.

With Total Home Wi-Fi, if TalkTalk’s Future Fibre 1Gb customers find they require further coverage given the layout and size of their home, they can add an additional eero Pro 6 device at no extra cost. With a RRP of £599 for a 3-pack of Amazon eero Pro 6 mesh Wi-Fi devices, TalkTalk customers stand to make significant savings.

Jonathan Kini, managing director of TalkTalk direct business and consumer, said: “We believe fast, affordable, full fibre broadband should be accessible to all.

"This has been brought into even sharper focus by the pandemic.

"We’re thrilled that people across Yorkshire and the Humber can now benefit from the UK’s latest technology thanks to our new Future Fibre 1Gb and Amazon eero packages.”

The full fibre expansion across Bradford is being undertaken in conjunction with CityFibre and Openreach to deliver the latest broadband technology to customers.

Kim Johnston, city manager for CityFibre in Bradford, said: “It is a pleasure to have TalkTalk join our Full Fibre network in Bradford.

"TalkTalk’s switch-on here signals an enhanced broadband choice for the region at a time when state-of-the-art digital connectivity is increasingly important for work and play.

“We are investing £75m in the city’s digital infrastructure - part of CityFibre’s £4 billion Gigabit City Investment Programme - and it is already providing residents and businesses with gigabit-capable connectivity.

"As we begin to connect even more homes across Bradford, we look forward to the region being able to access the reliable and fast speeds they require today and in the future.”
