AN 81-YEAR-OLD woman is among a number of people who have been slapped with fines or driving penalty points for speeding on Bradford's M606 motorway.
Information published by magistrates’ courts in Bradford, has revealed one person was banned from driving for six months for speeding on the motorway's section which has a 50mph limit and were clocked by the speed camera positioned there.
Here are the names of seven people who have appeared at magistrates' court in Bradford over the last five weeks for speeding on motorways.
Some of them are from Bradford, or were caught speeding on the M606 and from other areas of the country.
- Patricia Moore, 81, of Sunnyside, Broncoed Park, Mold, Flintshire, was given five licence points, fined £80, ordered to pay £90 costs and a £34 victim surcharge for exceeding a 50mph speed restriction on a special road/motorway - automatic camera device, at 69mph, at the M606 southbound 150 yards south of the slip to Chainbar roundabout, on June 8, 2021.
- Slavomir Sivak, 45, of Church Road, Smethwick, West Midlands, was given four licence points, fined £80, ordered to pay £85 costs and a £34 victim surcharge for exceeding a 50mph speed restriction on a special road/motorway - automatic camera device, at 67mph, at the M606 southbound 150 yards south of the slip to Chainbar roundabout, on November 30, 2020.
- Usman Javed, 24, Leamington Street, Bradford, was given three licence points, ordered to pay £185 and £32 victim surcharge for exceeding a 50mph speed restriction on a special road/motorway - automatic camera device, at the M606 southbound 150 yards south of the slip to Chainbar roundabout, on December 5, 2019.
- Lisa Cessford, 46, of Bowling Green Lane, Northampton, was given three licence points, fined £269, ordered to pay £90 costs and a £34 victim surcharge for exceeding a 50mph speed restriction on a special road/motorway - automatic camera device, at 60mph, at the M606 southbound 150 yards south of the slip to Chainbar roundabout, on June 1, 2021.
- Stuart Roberts, 57, of Beechley Road, Wrexham, was given five licence points, fined £507, ordered to pay £90 costs and a £50 victim surcharge for exceeding a 50mph speed restriction on a special road/motorway - automatic camera device, at 71mph, at the M606 southbound 150 yards south of the slip to Chainbar roundabout, on June 15, 2021.
- Carolyn Greenwood, 55, of Vegal Crescent, Ovenden, Halifax, was given six licence points, fined £120, ordered to pay £90 costs and a £34 victim surcharge for exceeding a 50mph speed restriction on a special road/motorway - automatic camera device, at 79mph, at the M606 southbound 150 yards south of the slip to Chainbar roundabout, on June 16, 2021.
- David Plevey, 45, of Estoril Road South, Darlington, was given three licence points, fined £149, ordered to pay £90 costs and a £34 victim surcharge for exceeding a 50mph speed restriction on a special road/motorway - automatic camera device, at 61mph, at the M606 southbound 150 yards south of the slip to Chainbar roundabout, on June 8, 2021.
