A MAN who approached and filmed a police officer last night - calling him a "c***" in the process - had the vehicle he was in seized by officers after it was found to be uninsured.

The man approached the officer and called him the expletive at the Shell petrol station on Bingley Road, Saltaire, which prompted police to run a background check on the vehicle.

It was found to have no insurance, a Statutory Off Road Notification and two bald tyres.

The vehicle was seized and the driver reported as a result.

The news was tweeted by West Yorkshire Police's Steerside Enforcement Team at 10.55pm last night.

The full tweet reads: "Officer grabbing a coffee after riding around in the cold for 4 hours… Male approaches - films the Officer & calls the officer a c*nt. This prompts the Officer to run the vehicle through that the male is in. No insurance/SORN/x2 Bald tyres. Vehicle seized & Reported. Karma?"
