FLORAL tributes have been left at the scene where a Bradford woman was found dead on Sunday.

Bori Benko, 24, was found dead at her flat on Sherborne Road in the Great Horton area of Bradford in the early hours of Sunday morning.

A police cordon remains in place but flowers have been laid to pay their respects to the Bradford school worker.

Bori, originally from Hungary, came to the UK as a youth worker in 2016.

She did church youth work at St Leonard's Church in Lexden, Essex, before coming to Bradford.

The Rev Matthew Simpkins described her "as someone with a warm, caring and loving personality".

In Bradford, she was a dedicated member of the Bradford Cathedral, a spokesperson there said she will be "long remembered at the cathedral for her enthusiastic, generous and infectious faith, her warmth and commitment to serve others".

In a Book of Condolence on the Telegraph and Argus website, Bruce Gulland wrote: "I'm so sorry to have learned of Bori's death. As a volunteer with the Bradford Global cafe, I saw her around and chatted with her on one or two occasions. Such a warm and friendly person - and such a great loss. Praying for all who knew and loved her."

A man has been charged with her murder and the attempted murder of a 21-year-old woman.

Zbigniew Soj, 23, of Sherborne Road, appeared at Bradford Magistrates today.

Another woman suffered serious injuries at the time of the incident and continues to receive treatment in hospital.
