LATEST NEWS: Heartfelt tributes paid to 'dancing queen' mother and dearest friend of over 30 years

POLICE have officially named a woman who died in a crash earlier this week.

Tracey Riley, who was aged 52, died after a tragic collision on the A6036 (Halifax Road/Bradford Road), near Northowram, on Monday evening.

The crash involved a cream-coloured Mini Cooper and a parked lorry, at the side of the road, and happened at around 9.15pm.

The Mini was travelling from Northowram towards Stone Chair roundabout when the crash happened.

Mrs Riley was rushed to Bradford Royal Infirmary (BRI), but had suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

In a statement her family said: “It’s with great sadness that the family of Tracey would like to announce her passing.

"She will forever be remembered for her crazy ways, the life and soul of the party.

"Keep singing and dancing up there we will miss you.”

The Major Collision and Enquiry Team are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the crash. 

Officers are appealing for any information which may assist with their ongoing enquiries.
