BRADFORD Council has announced the following temporary road closures planned for the Bradford district:

* Shipley Fields Road, Frizinghall, for construction works to be carried out. The order will affect the length of Shipley Fields Road approximately 20 metres at either side of the railway bridge.

Alternative routes for traffic affected will be available via Shipley Fields Road (unaffected section), Keighley Road, Frizinghall Road, Valley Road and vice versa.

The order will come into effect tomorrow at 11.30pm and remain in force until 7am on Sunday.

* Denbrook Crescent, Tong, for water works to be carried out. The order will affect Denbrook Crescent from a point outside No 17 to a point outside No 19.

Alternative routes for traffic affected by the proposed Order will be available via Denbrook Crescent (unaffected section), Denbrook Avenue and vice versa.

The order will come into effect at 8am hours on Monday and will remain in force until 6pm on December 2.

* Cockin Lane, Clayton, for water works to be carried out. The order will affect the length of Cockin Lane from a point outside Meadowcroft to a point outside Cross Lea Farm.

Alternative routes for traffic affected will be available via Cockin Lane (unaffected section), Carter Lane, Thornton Road, Albert Road, Sandbeds, Scarlet Heights, Baldwin Lane, The Avenue, Town End Road, Low Lane and vice versa.

The order will come into effect on Monday from 8am to 6pm.

* Smiddles Lane, Bradford, for telecommunication works to be carried out. The order will affect Smiddles Lane from its junction with Manchester Road to a point outside Bankfoot Primary School.

Alternative routes for traffic affected will be available via Smiddles Lane (unaffected section), Mayo Avenue, Chase Way, Staygate Interchange, Rooley Lane, Mayo Avenue and vice versa. The order will come into effect from 9am to 4pm on Sunday

* Green Lane, Baildon Green, for gas works to be carried out. The order will affect Green Lane from a point outside No 101 to outside the rear of 31 Fembank Drive. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for traffic affected will be available via Green Lane (unaffected section), Coach Road, Glenaire Drive, Thompson Lane and vice versa.

The order will remain in force until 6pm on Friday, December 17.
