DETECTIVES investigating an arson attack on a house in Leeds have arrested a man in connection with the incident.

The 24-year-old was arrested last night on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life, in relation to the attack at a house on Butterbowl Mount, Farnley.

It happened in the early hours of Saturday, with a mother and young child having to be rescued by firefighters shortly after midnight.
