DETECTIVES IN Bradford are appealing for witnesses following an arson attack on a house.

Bradford District CID would like to speak to anyone who saw or has information about the incident on Calderstone Avenue in Bradford.

It took place at around 7.44pm on Saturday November 20 after a fire started at the side of the house causing significant damage to the property.

Detective Inspector Mark Taylor of Bradford CID, said: “Enquiries are ongoing into this clearly serious incident which had the potential to have devastating consequences as would any crime involving fire.“We would like to speak with anyone who has information about the fire or saw persons behaving suspiciously outside the property just prior to the blaze starting.

The house was not occupied and no-one was injured in the fire which is being treated as an arson attack.

West Yorkshire Fire Service also attended the scene after they were called at 19.25 to reports of a house fire.
