A FIRM with branches in Baildon and Bingley is boosting a campaign to plant trees in the Yorkshire Dales by matching donations for one week.
Independent builders' merchant JT Atkinson is getting behind the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust's Together for Trees campaign which begins on November 30. For one week donations made through The Big Give website will be doubled thanks to the match funding from the firm.
Money raised will help create small woodlands, hedgerows and wildlife corridors to connect the patchwork of habitats in the Yorkshire Dales and young people will be involved in helping to create the new woodlands.
Jamie Atkinson, managing director at JT Atkinson & Sons, said: “We are delighted to support a local environmental charity which aligns with our business objectives to be more sustainable and to reduce our carbon footprint."
Donations made through bit.ly/together-for-trees from November 30 until December 7 will be doubled until match funding runs out.
