ALBION Sports sealed a late comeback victory at Silsden in Mohammed Rizwan's first match in charge in the Toolstation Northern Counties East League Premier Division.

Robbie Fox was the hero for the third-from-bottom Lions as he grabbed an 80th-minute winner at his former club Silsden.

The Cobbydalers stormed to a 2-0 lead through a brace from striker Mo Qasim, with his strikes in the 27th and 39th minutes.

Silsden looked well in control until the visitors were handed a penalty.

The ball hit the hand of Mark Everingham who was on the goal-line and the spot kick was given and Sports skipper Daniel Facey rifled it home.

The second half started off with Silsden still pressing forwards.

Several chances were created, but the Reds just could not net the third goal, which would have given them a cushion.

The killer blow for Silsden came on 72 minutes. Fox broke up the left and crossed into the Silsden area. Substitute Omar Habeeb slid the ball home to make it 2-2.

Eight minutes later Fox cut in but Silsden goalkeeper Sammy Lee saved his shot. However, when Thompson was dispossessed by Fox, the Silsden keeper could do little about it to make it 3-2.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the Premier Division, Thackley were forced to settle for a share of the spoils in a home 3-3 draw with Hemsworth Miners Welfare.

Kane Swinburn opened the contest's scoring for Hemsworth in the 19th minute, which was cancelled out by Thackley's Lewis Waddington seven minutes later.

The hosts the took the lead in the 38th minute via Owen Murphy, a lead they kept until the 58th minute when Jakob Hebda got on the scoresheet.

Hemsworth extended their lead in the 64th minute when Swinburn grabbed his second.

But spirited 15th-placed Thackley secured a point as Waddington completed his brace in the 76th minute.

Meanwhile, Eccleshill United took a break from league action and crashed out of the FA Vase.

United suffered a 3-2 defeat to Barton Town at the Mitton Group Stadium.

Ben Hinchcliffe fired a double and a Curtis Bateson strike sealed the passage into the third round for Barton, while Eccleshill's goals came courtesy of a Talent Ndlovu penalty and Sumaili Cissa.

A last-gasp strike from Harrison Beeden earned Brighouse Town a 1-1 draw against Lincoln United in the Pitching In Northern Premier League East Division.

Andy Janseen gave hosts Lincoln the lead in the 35th minute before Vill Powell's 10th-placed side took a point back to West Yorkshire with Beeden's 93rd-minute strike.

Liversedge return to action this Saturday after a free weekend last week.

They host Lancaster City in the FA Vase second round proper (3pm kick-off).

Liversedge tweeted: "At £6 for adults it will be the cheapest FA Trophy game anywhere in the country. Come cheer the lads on as they push to make the third round."
