When Mr Chaudhry Inayat Khan, director and founder of Britanna Care, in Girlington, says that “care is at the heart of the business,” you wouldn’t expect anything else, but putting care front and centre of Britannia’s business ethos carries extra resonance, because Mr Khan is also referring to the care dedicated to helping Britannia’s staff reach their full potential.

Said Mr Khan: “We train our staff to become ‘Britannia carers’, which means bespoke training and a clear career path within Britannia – from trainee to carer to senior carer to team leader, deputy manager and manager. We grow our own at Britannia care!”

Two of the current Britannia Care team are proof of the way Britannia support their staff. Young mum, 21-year-old Sabah Khan, has been with Britannia Care for three years and has moved through the ranks to become a senior carer.

Said Sabah: “Age has not been a barrier to me progressing from a trainee to a senior carer in just three years. Britannia Care has a clear career path and provides the best training and support.”

At Britannia, the support system is structured to help staff reach their full potential. In an industry where there are current staff shortages, Britannia Care offers a clear career path for those wishing to carve out a future in caring - with Britannia supporting you all the way.

Another home-grown member of staff who has developed her skills and progressed through the ranks, is manager Nina Butor, who has been with Britannia Care for eight years.

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

Said Nina: “We care for our staff. We have a warm and welcoming approach, which starts at the top. It is important that we help our carers to reach their full potential.

“Looking after and caring for our staff ensures we create the holistic approach to care which we want to encourage.”

Britannia Care director, Mr Anis Khan, added: “We have a very competitive pay package, which we believe is above the industry standard and which is attractive and reflects the current times.

“The environment here at Britannia is friendly and built around teamwork. This creates an environment which allows our team to deliver the care our residents deserve. A great atmosphere helps to deliver great care.”

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

As well as providing training and a clear career path within Britannia Care, the company is also supportive of staff ambitions, even if those ambitions mean leaving Britannia.

Added Mr Choudrhy Inayat Khan: “We are proud that six previous staff members, who started their careers with Britannia Care, have gone on to work in the NHS as nurses, while others have started their own businesses in the care sector.

“We don’t believe in shackling our staff, but encouraging them to reach their full potential, even if that means eventually leaving Britannia Care.”

Currently, Britannia Care have five vacancies for carers. If you are interested in a career with Britannia Care and would like to find out more about the current vacancies, then please contact Nina Butor on: 01274 49 48 47.
