With the new series of I’m a Celebrity just around the corner, Gwrych Castle have offered a sneak peak at the new camps for the year.

The castle, near Abergele, will host the hit ITV show for a second year.

Gwrych Castle stepped in to save the day when the health crisis prevented the Australian filming location from being used last year.

And, with travel restrictions remaining in place, the castle in Wales will be used once again in 2021.

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

Work has been underway over the last few months to get the site ready in time for the new series.

The castle needed some significant work before the cameras start rolling.

Offering a behind the scenes look at the new I’m a Celebrity camps, a post on the castle’s Facebook page said: “Here’s a behind the scenes look at this year’s I’m A Celebrity camp at Gwrych Castle & this year there are two camps… but who will enter the Castle Clink!?

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

“It’s been so great to see local people and businesses being employed by ITV again this year.”

Dr Mark Baker, Chair of Gwrych Castle Preservation Trust, said “I’m absolutely delighted that I’m A Celebrity has chosen Gwrych Castle to be its UK location for the 2021 series.

"Gwrych Castle is a beautiful grade I listed historic house and a must-see destination for tourists visiting Wales.

"I’m A Celebrity being here will really help support its ongoing restoration as well as giving the region a much-needed economic boost.

"We are all very excited to be working with the team again.”

The new series of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here begins at 9pm on ITV 1 on Sunday, November 21.
