A LANE of a motorway that was closed for almost half-an-hour due to a crash has reopened.
The collision happened on the westbound carriageway of the M62, between junction 27 (Gildersome, M621) and junction 26 (Chain Bar, M606).
It was first reported at 8.45am, according to the AA.
Lane one (of four) was closed until 9.12pm, when the cars involved in the crash were moved to a refuge area on the hard shoulder.
The closure caused some congestion and traffic was still queuing after the lane reopened.
But traffic was said to be easing at 9.26am.
