A SECTION of a Bradford Road will be closed for three months due to construction works.

Bradford Council has announced the closure of a stretch of Parry Lane, off Sticker Lane, in advance, along with other public notices of temporary road and footpath closures due to necessary works.

Work proposed on or near Parry Lane, mean the closure of the lane from its junction with Sticker Lane to its junction with Lower Lane.

The order takes effect at 8am today and remains in force until 6pm on January 28 2022.

Alternative routes for traffic affected by the order will be available from Sticker Lane via Parry Lane (the unaffected section), Sticker Lane, Bowling Back Lane and vice versa. From Lower Lane an alternative route will be available via Lower Lane, Neville Road, Wakefield Road, Sticker Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times while the work takes place.

Telecommunication works proposed to be carried out on or near Market Street, Bradford, will necessitate the closure to traffic Market Street from its junction with Bridge Street to a point outside 71 Market Street.

The proposed Order will come into effect at 7pm tomorrow (Tuesday November 2) and remain in force until 11pm hours on the same day.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the proposed order will be available for Bridge Street-bound traffic via Market Street (the unaffected section), Bank Street, Broadway, Bridge Street and vice versa. For Lower Kirkgate bound traffic alternative routes will be available via Bridge Street, Sunbridge Road, Barry Street, Westgate, Drewton Road, Manor Row, Cheapside and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained.

Water works proposed on or near Waverton Green, off Halifax Road, Bradford, means to temporary closure to traffic of Waverton Green from its junction with Sandale Walk to a point outside 10 Waverton Green.

The order will come into effect at 8am today and remain in force until 6pm on Friday November 19.

No alternative routes for traffic affected by the proposal will be available. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

Work to make safe a public footpath in Little Horton will mean that no one can use the footpath off Birch Lane from a point to the side of 154 Birch Lane to a point to the rear of 196 Birch Lane.

This order comes into effect at 8am today and remains in force until 6pm on November 19. There is no suitable diversion for pedestrians.

Plans to install a zebra pedestrian crossing on the A647 High Street at its junction with Chapel Street, Queensbury, are also inviting comments.
