BRADFORD Council has issued temporary road closure orders for the following areas:

* Lynton Avenue, Heaton, for water works to be carried out. Alternative routes for traffic affected will be available via Lynton Avenue (unaffected section), Lynton Drive, Dutchy Drive and vice versa.

The proposed order came into effect at 8am today and will remain in force until 6pm on Friday, October 29.

* Howden Road, Silsden, for electrical works to be carried out. The order, which came into effect on Saturday and ends today at 7pm, affects the length of Howden Road from its junction with Daisy Hill to its junction with Craven Drive.

Alternative routes for traffic affected are available via Howden Road (unaffected section), Holden Lane, Silsden Road, Street Lane, Cam Lane, Swine Lane, Bradford Road, Hardings Road, A629 Aire Valley Road, Keighley Road, Kirkgate, Clog Bridge, Hainsworth Street and vice versa.

* Public bridleway no.23, Healy Lane, Bingley. Pedestrian access is prohibited, because of likelihood of danger to the public, from its junction with Dowley Gap Lane to Southfield Road. No alternative routes for pedestrian access is available. The order remains in force until 4.30pm on Friday, October 29.

* Public footpath No. 301 at Keighley. Pedestrian access is prohibited, because of the risk of danger to the public, from its junction with Dalton Lane to its junction with Pitt Street. There will be no suitable diversion for pedestrians. The order will remain in force until 6pm on March 17, 2022.

*Staithgate Lane, Bradford, for electrical works to be carried out. The order will affect the length of Staithgate Lane from its junction with Staithgate Roundabout (Rooley Lane) to its junction with Dean Beck Avenue. Alternative routes for traffic affected will be available via Staithgate Lane (unaffected section), Rooley Lane, Bierley Lane, Rockhill Lane, Wharfedale Road, Merrydale Road and vice versa. The order is due to end tomorrow.

* An application for variation of premises licence has been made to Bradford Council. Nordish (Saltaire) Ltd has applied for a licence to use premises at Victoria Road, Saltaire, for the retail sale of alcohol off premises and for on premises sales to be consumed in an outdoor seating area, and to vary hours of sale of alcohol from midday to 11pm Monday-Saturday to 10am-11pm and from midday-10pm on Sundays to 10am-10pm. Representations should be made in writing to the Licensing Team, Argus Chambers, Hall Ings, Bradford, BD1 1HX by November 10. Anyone wishing to inspect the Licensing Register may do so at the above address between 9am-5pm, Monday-Thursday, and 9am-4.30pmFridays.

* Colin Russell of T/A C.J. Russell Haulage, Hill Top Road, Thornton, is applying to change an existing licence to keep five goods vehicles and five trailers at: SOS Recovery Ltd, Morley Carr Road, Low Moor. Owners or occupiers of land (including buildings) near the operating centre who believe their use of that land would be affected, should make written representations to the Traffic Commissioner at Hillcrest House, 386 Harehills Lane, Leeds LS9 6NF.
