AN advert for a fast-food giant on a billboard in Bradford has been vandalised.
The advertising board on Thornton Road, which currently houses a promotion for McDonald's, had been visibly altered as of 12.33pm yesterday.
The billboard is situated at the side of the main road, between its junctions with Grattan Road and Water Lane.
The bottom half of the poster - which is seemingly advertising the fast-food chain's Double Big Mac burger - has been ripped off.
In its place, the words "like a dead planet?" have been daubed in red on the now empty space of the billboard.
A witness said the same thing happened last week.
Clear Channel UK, which owns the billboard and more than 35,000 outdoor advertising sites nationwide, said it was aware the advertising board had been "vandalised" and the firm's local team is looking to resolve the matter urgently.
A spokesperson for the company said yesterday: “We were made aware earlier today that one of our billboards in Bradford was vandalised.
"Our local team is actively working to remove it as soon as possible.
"As ever, we encourage the public to notify both us and the police if they witness anyone engaging in such illegal activity.
"We also actively discourage any individuals from taking part in this kind of activity given the potential health and safety risks.”
The T&A approached McDonald's for comment, but received no response.
