A BRADFORD man has appeared in court on a host of charges including stealing from a police station and obstructing an officer in the course of their duty.

Antonio Dimeo, 37, of High Park Grove, was given a community order which included a drug rehabilitation requirement as a non-resident for six months, Rehabilitation Activity Requirement up to a maximum of 20 days and ordered to carry out unpaid work for 123 hours within the next 12 months for the offences he was charged with.

Dimeo pleaded guilty to all of the below offences when he appeared at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates Court on October 7, 2021. They were:

  • Burglary other than dwelling – theft: having entered as a trespasser part of a building, Thornton Village Antiques, stole therein multiple items (two oil lamps, a glass vase, a deer ornament, a drinking glass, a card, a necklace and a drinks trolley) to the value of £296 and damaged a window to the value of £150, on August 26, 2021. He was also ordered to pay £226 for this offence.
  • Stole multiple items of toiletries, worth £115, from Co-op Food Store, Thornton Road, Thornton, Bradford, on September 12, 2021.
  • Stole Contour Solution, worth £14, belonging to the NHS, from Trafalgar House Police Station, Nelson Street, Bradford, on September 12, 2021. He was also ordered to pay £14 for this offence.
  • Wilfully obstructed a police constable in the execution of his duty at Bradford Royal Infirmary’s A&E department on September 12, 2021.
  • Fail to attend for/remain for duration of initial assessment following test for class A drug, on August 2, 2021.
  • - Fail to surrender to police/court bail at the appointed time, October 1, 2021.
