A BRADFORD TV doctor says the UK must lead by example to reduce emissions.
Dr Amir Khan accused a new oil drilling field off the coast of Shetland that the UK government is about to sign off as an ‘ecological disaster’.
He added the UK needs to put pressure on the world’s biggest polluters such as China and the US.
He was speaking ahead of the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference to be held in Glasgow later this month.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain today, Dr Amir said: “Fossil fuel burning is so bad for our health.
“Increase respiratory infections, heart disease, increases our risk of cancer.
“It’s so, so important that we get it right here.”
With #COP26 coming up, we need to reduce emissions by putting pressure on the worlds biggest polluters: China, US and India
