A persistent Bradford beggar has been jailed for 14 weeks.
Stafford Lawson, 34, of Otley Road, Shipley, admitted begging at the Co-op in Bingley Road, Saltaire, in May contrary to the Vagrancy Act 1824 and sitting and loitering at the store which he was prohibited from doing by a Criminal Behaviour Order (CRIMBO) made by Bradford Magistrates Court on May 19, 2019.
He also pleaded guilty to breaching the CRIMBO by begging outside the J and M Halal mini market on Bradford Road, Frizinghall, on August 20.
He was jailed by Bradford and Keighley magistrates after committing the offences during the period of a suspended sentence order imposed for asking people for money at Forster Square Retail Park and on Bank Street in Bradford city centre in breach of the CRIMBO.
