A BRADFORD man has been fined heavily after his dog injured a woman.
Seyeb Hussain, 46, of Malvern Brow, is the owner of a light-coloured German Shepherd called Cookie.
On July 23, 2019, Cookie, whilst so out of control, injured Shahida Malik in Bradford.
The court told Hussain unless the dog is kept under proper control, by being kept in secure premises where the dog cannot escape, kept on a lead in a public place, and is insured for third party risk, it must be destroyed.
He was fined £500, and must pay £300 in compensation, a £50 victim surcharge, and £620 in court costs.
The £1,470 total will be paid at a monthly rate of £125, commencing on October 20, 2021.
Hussain, who pleaded not guilty, was found guilty of being the person in charge of a dangerously out of control dog which caused injury on September 22, 2021, at Kirklees Magistrates Court.
