THE father of a 12-year-old boy who got hit by a lorry in Tong has paid tribute to the emergency services and the school for the youngster.
West Yorkshire Police reported that the lorry collided with the boy on Denbrook Avenue, Bradford, near Tong Leadership Academy, last Wednesday.
The police, Yorkshire Ambulance Service, and a Hazardous Area Response Teamsaid responded to the scene at 7.52am.
The father said: "He has been discharged from Leeds General Infirmary and he is recovering at home.
"We would like to thank everybody who helped him, all the emergency services and the school.
"He is one very lucky boy we are so glad he still here."
