A VIGIL will be held in Bradford this weekend following the death of Sabina Nessa.
It will take place in Lister Park on Sunday, by the bandstand, running from 3pm to 4.30pm.
Earlier this week, a man appeared in court charged with the “premeditated and predatory” murder of Ms Nessa, whose death has sparked further debate on women’s safety.
The 28-year-old primary school teacher was found dead in Kidbrooke, South East London on September 18.
On September 30, the Old Bailey heard that Koci Selamaj, 36, allegedly used a 2ft-long weapon to repeatedly strike her, before he carried her away while she was unconscious.
The vigil in Bradford will pay tribute to Ms Nessa, as well as the “many like her who experience violence against women”.
