THESE are the 13 areas in the Bradford district which currently have the highest Covid-19 infection rates, with the worst hit area’s rate more than 1,000.

Parts of Bradford continue to be badly affected by Covid-19 infections, with the number of cases in the district jumping above 2,000 a week two weeks ago for the first time since July.

The current infection rate in the district is 388.3 infections per 100,000 people, with 2,105 people testing positive for Covid in the seven days to September 30, the most up to date figures.

With all Covid-19 legal restrictions now dropped for a number of months, the virus continues to circulate around the population freely, albeit having less of an impact on hospitals and causing fewer deaths thanks to the success of the Covid-19 vaccination rollout.

However, in Bradford more than one in four people remain completely unvaccinated, and almost a third of people have not had both doses of the jab, putting themselves at risk of serious illness from the virus and also putting their loved ones and others around them at risk of getting Covid.

Some areas of the district continue to be badly hit by Covid, with high numbers of cases and persistently high infection rates.
