FIVE people were arrested and drugs and cash seized in an operation in the BD3 area of Bradford.

Officers from the Bradford East Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) joined forces with officers from Bradford’s Programme Precision to execute warrants at six locations on Monday.

The five people, four males and one female, were arrested for offences including conspiracy to supply Class A drugs and money laundering.

Two males were later charged with offences and remanded to appear at Bradford Magistrates' Court.

Sergeant Rachel McKay, from the Bradford East NPT, said: “This operation was carried out to address concerns from the community about organised crime in their area and was linked to BD3 Unite – a partner group who are working hard to make the area safer for all.

“I would like to thank the community for their ongoing support of our work and also our partners such as BD3 Unite, as well as the team at Programme Precision in Bradford District.

“We hope the operation has shown that we take these concerns seriously and will respond positively to disrupt serious and organised criminality.”

Anyone with information about suspected criminal activity in their area is asked to report it to their local Neighbourhood Policing Team by calling 101 or by email. Reports can also be made anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 or online.
