A BRADFORD community centre feels the government should be doing more in relation to mental health.
Since the pandemic hit, the Millan Centre have been at the forefront when it comes to offering support for those struggling with mental health.
Saliha Sadiq, vice chair, said: "When will the government take mental health seriously?
"Throughout the pandemic, we have been successful in delivery counselling and mental health support on a voluntary basis.
"I would like to see the government invest in community centres.
"I would like them to have a walking-in policy for young people, and staff to have the qualifications to offer professional mental health support to their community members. This is how we are going to make a difference and save lives.
"I and Elizabeth (Hellmich, chair) would like to see changes happening as soon as possible with mental health concerns increasing, especially amongst young people and students."
