A BRADFORD man appeared in court yesterday after being found with almost £30,000 worth of cannabis.
The 26-year-old man pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply Class B at Bradford Magistrates' Court and was remanded into custody ahead of his sentencing next month.
On Saturday, he was the driver and sole occupant of a vehicle which was stopped by police for a drugs search, where they found an estimated £4,000 worth of cannabis.
Around £25,000 worth of the drug was then also found after officers carried out a search at an address connected to the man, while a vehicle was also seized as part of the operation.
Detective Chief Inspector Andy Farrell, of Bradford District Police, said: “This arrest was part of an ongoing partnership operation with Programme Precision and others to tackle those involved in the supply of illegal drugs in the Bradford district.
“We are committed to working with partners in disrupting this activity and would urge anyone with information about those involved in it to report it to their local neighbourhood policing team, so they can respond positively and help to make their community a safer place.”
