A BRADFORD district petrol station says it has been forced to shut its pumps after selling out of a delivery that would usually take three days to sell in just 12 hours.

Esso in Otley Road, Baildon, had a delivery of 45,000 litres of fuel sent yesterday but it was gone within 12 hours.

The site’s pumps remain shut today as they await another delivery.

A number of petrol stations have been forced to close their pumps in the Bradford district.

Esso in Rooley Lane had pumps open this morning, but with a maximum of £30 spent on fuel per customer.
