POLICE investigating an assault on a teenage boy are appealing to trace witnesses to the incident.
The victim, a 15-year-old boy, was knocked unconscious when he was repeatedly punched in the face by a youth at a bus shelter outside the Halifax bank, in Commercial Street, Halifax, between 7.40pm and 7.50pm on Saturday, September 18.
The victim received minor injuries in what is being treated as an unprovoked attack.
A number of people were in the area at the time and officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, particularly a woman said to have commented “I’m glad I’m not a teenager anymore”.
A 16-year-old male has been arrested in connection with the incident and released on conditional bail.
