A man from Bradford has been jailed for three counts of theft from a Matalan clothes store.

Shaun Lee Kellett, 45, of Brompton Road, Bradford, was jailed for 10 weeks for stealing a total of £760 worth of clothes from a Matalan store on Savins Mill Way, Kirkstall, Leeds.

The offences took place over three consecutive days in August this year.

The first incident took place on August 9, 2021, when Kellett stole £250 worth of goods from the Matalan store in Leeds.

He returned the next day, on August 10, and stole more clothing to the value of £310.

On August 11, 2021, Kellett went back to the store for the third time, and stole items of clothing to the value of £200.

Kellett was given a 10-week prison sentence at Leeds Magistrates court on September 13, 2021, after he pleaded guilty to all three charges.

He has also been ordered to pay £450 in compensation by September 12, 2022.
