THE Sedbergh Youth & Community Centre are putting on a powerful presentation, describing how the mind works tomorrow morning (10-11am).

The centre is hosting the event as part of the Holistic Reach Programme - a one-year project funded by the National Lottery Community Fund - which targets problematic factors in the area and offers personal development opportunities.

Guest speaker Jason Smith said: "This event is for anyone who wants to improve their life. They will learn how the mind works, what it can achieve and how to tap into its potential. On the day, I will demonstrate how powerful the mind really is and give people basic tools to be able to live their best life."

Admission is £1.00 and includes refreshments. As well as this event, Jason will deliver another two workshops, 'An Introduction to Meditation' and a confidence and goal setting course over the next few months.

Fund-raising Co-ordinator Lucy O'farrell said: "This event is only the start of the workshops we will offer as part of the programme. We're really excited to be able to offer these opportunities to local people who would like to achieve more in their lives and give people the tools to be able to do so.

"We'd like to thank the National Lottery Community Fund and the National Lottery players for making this project possible and helping us to make a huge difference to our community."
