THE fire service have issued a warning after four engines were called out to a barbecue fire on the balcony of a high rise flats building in Bradford.
A spokesperson for the West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said engines from Bradford, Rawdon, Shipley and Stanningley fire stations were called at 6.20pm on Wednesday to a report of barbecue fire on the sixth floor balcony of Waryn House, Haigh Beck View, Thorpe Edge.
The spokesperson said: "The fire was out on arrival and the engines stood down, but advice was given to the occupants.
"The advice is not to light barbecues on balconies because of how quickly they can spread."
The spokesperson also said that no-one was injured in the fire.
