AN APPLICATION has been made to sell alcohol at a Bradford mini-mart.

Omer Mohammed Karim Jaf has made an application to Bradford Council for a new premises licence at Grosik Super Mini Market in Leeds Old Road, Bradford. The application is to sell alcohol, for consumption off the premises, between 8am and 11pm.

Representations must be made in writing by Monday October 11 to Licensing Team, Department of Place, 3rd Floor, Argus Chambers, Hall Ings, Bradford BD1 1HX.

The register of licensing applications can be inspected at the above address between 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday or online at Bradford.gov.uk/business.

Bradford Council has issued a number of notices for temporary road closures due to utility works. A number of them are listed below:

Water works to be carried out on or near Myrtle Avenue, Bingley, means that no vehicle shall travel along Myrtle Avenue from its junction with Bradford Road to its junction with Unity South Street.

Alternative routes for traffic affected by the proposed order will be via Myrtle Avenue (the unaffected section), Beech Street, Ash Terrace, Bradford Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times while the work is being carried out.

The order will come into effect at 8am on Wednesday September 29 until 6pm the same day.

Electrical works to be carried out on or near Factory Street, Bradford, has led to the temporary closure to traffic of Factory Street, Bradford, from its junction with Tong Street (slip road) to a point outside the sub-station.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the order will be via Tong Street (slip road), Rooley Lane, Rook Lane, Factory Lane and Factory Street (the unaffected section).

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times during the period of work.

The proposed order is now in place and will run until 6pm on Thursday October 7.

Gas works on or near Clarges Street, Bradford will lead to the introduction of one-way traffic on Clarges Street from its junction with Little Horton Lane to its junction with Montague Street (traffic will be allowed from Little Horton Lane toward Montague Street).

The traffic order will come into effect at 8am today and remain in force until 6pm on Friday October 15.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the proposed order will be available via Clarges Street (the unaffected section), Lindley Road, Roundhill Street, Park Lane and Little Horton Lane.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times while the work is being carried out

Gas works have also necessitated the temporary closure of public footpath number 220 (Bradford North), Eccleshill, from its junction with Silwood Drive to its junction with Delverne Grove.

Alternative routes for pedestrians affected by the order will be via Delverne Grove, Moorside Road, Harrogate Road, Silwood Drive and vice versa.

The order is currently in place and remains in force until 6pm on Friday October 1.
