ANOTHER man has been charged with murder following the discovery of a Bradford man's body in an old bank.

Asghar Badshah, who was affectionately known as "Oscar" and was a First Bus driver, was allegedly kidnapped from Mayo Road, in Bradford, in the early hours of November 30, 2019.

Police discovered his body in the old bank on Commercial Street, Batley, a month later, on December 29, 2019.

In the latest update in the "long running and complex" investigation, West Yorkshire Police said a 34-year-old man from Berkshire had been charged with murder and conspiracy to kidnap.

Liam Buckley, of Lynwood Crescent in Sunningdale, appeared at Leeds Magistrates' Court on Saturday and will make his first appearance at Bradford Crown Court tomorrow.

Detective Chief Inspector Heather Whoriskey, who is leading the investigation, said: “We are continuing to appeal for anyone with information about what happened in this long running and complex case to come forward.

“If there is anyone who has information about this incident who has not yet come forward to contact the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team on 101, referencing Operation Plumeham.

“Information can always also be given in total anonymity to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”

Four other people were charged in connection with the case earlier this year.

Qaisar Shah, 36, of Mayo Crescent in Bradford and Sabbah Shahmuradi, 36, of French's Wells in Woking, face charges of murder and conspiracy to kidnap.

Shah is also charged with conspiracy to possess criminal property.

Meanwhile, Sobia Syed, 37, from Henna Close, Bradford, and Zaban Syed, 60, from Mayo Road, Bradford, were also charged with conspiracy to possess criminal property.
