SURVEY finds Bradford in the bottom five of the best and worst places for takeaway food-delivery in the UK.

Green’s Cakes carried out a survey of the best and worst towns and cities in the UK for takeaway food-delivery and surprisingly Bradford ranked in the bottom five, alongside Birmingham, Poole, Stoke-on-Trent, and Kingston upon Hull.

The survey was carried out with food-delivery services Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat.

Analysis shows that Bradford only has one delivery option for every 864 people.

Four of the top six locations for takeaway food-delivery options were found in Greater Manchester with Oldham just missing out on the 6th spot.

Neil Wright, a copywriter for Green’s Cakes said: “Unfortunately Bradford was in the bottom five of the sample we studied, making it one of the worst locations in terms of fast-food delivery options in the country.

“The people of Bradford are either prolific at home cooking or are literally starved of choice.

“Either way, I’d kick up a fuss if I lived there.

“The people deserve better!”

The data was gathered by selecting a central postcode in each of the largest towns and cities in the UK and inputting this into each of the delivery services.

The results were then divided the number of residents in each city and the rankings were formed.

As a city known for its food and restaurants, this seems like shocking news.
